20 Sep How to attract Airbnb guests
Your Airbnb is amazing, rates per night are perfect and your hospitality skills are incomparable but, due to something of inexplicable, the number of guests that you welcome is below your projections. With our “Attract Airbnb Guests” list, you surely going to increase your Airbnb popularity and the guest experience.
#1 Show guests how they can live your home
It sounds strange but is the truth. When guests arrive at your flat, they don’t really know how to “use” it, exploiting all its potential.
For example, if you know that have a dinner on your table on the balcony is a must do, that’s not an obvious thing for your guests. They see a big table in the kitchen and so have dinner there is the most obvious thing to do. Good, but they’re missing a chance!
So, how to have a comfortable home for your guests, taking advantage of some “secrets” it has? By words is difficult, overall in a short online description. The best thing to do is to take some pictures of your home when it’s “lived”. In our example, a shot of the balcony with some food and a wine bottle on the table it’s perfect.
#2 Make your home unique, not personal
The perfect Airbnb profile has to have a strong personality, but it hasn’t to be personal. What’s the difference?
A home could have a strong personality – something that makes it unique – for 2 reasons:
the location and the furniture.
You can’t improve the location but if you have a good taste in design you can make your home special with the furniture, adding a strong personality.
At the same time, you have to avoid personal things in the furniture; that’s the biggest mistake you can do because guests can’t feel the house they rented for a while like their “own” house. You can keep books or DVD movies in your library but trophies, photos of your dog or of your grandmother aren’t a good idea.
#3 Learn from hotels and improve what they do
Every guest loves clean and bright rooms, a common thing to hotel rooms. Hotels offer many amenities that guests found useful like small baskets in the bathroom with some bath products. You can do even better by purchasing fresh flowers for your living room and set up a table for an afternoon tea if you’re in London.
Follow these rules and you’ll see immediately an improvement in guests experience. At the end of their stay, they’ll be more satisfied and this will attract new guests.
