Guest travel tips | October 16, 2019
Autumn is upon us, the days are getting shorter, and thoughts naturally turn to open fires and cosy nights indoors. However, as always, there are still lots of events happening in and around the capital to tempt you outside.
Here’s our roundup of things to do in London this October.
You can now get your annual fix of beer, bratwurst and brass oompah bands in various locations across London. Numerous Oktoberfest celebrations are happening in London this year. From the authentic beer hall experience that will have you grabbing for your lederhosen or dirndl. To less traditional options including a Halloween mashup, a 100% vegan offering and even a medieval-themed celebration.
Here is our pick of London Oktoberfest celebrations in 2019.

The terror-filled bus tour
For a London bus trip with a difference, hop onboard one of the black Routemaster buses run by The Ghost Bus Tours company. It might be part theatre, part history lesson and part sightseeing but it’s 100% family-friendly fun.
Take your tastebuds on a gastronomic tour of the world without leaving London. The London Restaurant Festival showcases the diversity and quality of London’s dining scene from Michelin-starred restaurants to brand new openings.
