Autumn is upon us, the days are getting shorter, and thoughts naturally turn to open fires and cosy nights indoors. However, as always, there are still lots of events happening in and around the capital to tempt you outside.

Here’s our roundup of things to do in London this October.

Oktoberfest in London

You can now get your annual fix of beer, bratwurst and brass oompah bands in various locations across London. Numerous Oktoberfest celebrations are happening in London this year. From the authentic beer hall experience that will have you grabbing for your lederhosen or dirndl. To less traditional options including a Halloween mashup, a 100% vegan offering and even a medieval-themed celebration.

Here is our pick of London Oktoberfest celebrations in 2019.

North London – Camden Oktoberfest

Camden’s legendary Electric Ballroom is transformed into a bustling Bavarian beer hall with bands and DJs keeping the party going until the evening.

South London – Oktoberfest South London

Raise a stein or two and shout ‘Prost’ at Pop Brixton with music, merriment and a menu laden with German sausage and schnitzel.

Tickets are available here.

East London – Doktoberfest

Munich comes to the Docklands with a warehouse space minutes away from Canada Water station converted into a giant bierkeller.

West London – London Oktoberfest at Olympia
