Top 4 most romantic bars for Valentine’s Day

Written by City Relay

Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and if you are a person who does things last minute, we have some spots where you can still have that “surprise” moment for your loved one. So hang onto your hearts and come fall in love with these bars while cupid pours up some love potions.

#1 Bar Américain at Brasserie Zédel

A dashing bar situated in vibrant Soho, 5 minutes from Piccadilly Circus Station, perfect for a quick stop drink before or after your dinner date. With amazing cocktails and a small appetizer menu, it is a good halfway house for any stage of the night. Try some of their classic drinks such as the Lady Day (Bombay Sapphire Gin, Blackberry Purée, Raspberry Liqueur, Ginger Ale, Apple and Lemon Juices) or the Rusty Triumph (Hennessy Fine de Cognac, Amer Picon, Orange & Saffron Syrup, Lime Juice).

#2 Swift

A vibrant, yet casual spot, with the dark lounge and bright bar above, each making you feel like you are in a world of your own. Despite the light and dark contrast each expressing its persona, Swift is a bespoke date spot. In the upper bar try the Petal Cocktail, a refreshing wave of flavour (Sweet vermouth, raspberry, framboise, Campari, prosecco) or ride the Tidal Wave (Chivas Regal 12, matcha, coconut water). Downstairs indulge your senses with cocktails such as the Pembrook (Hendrick’s Orbium gin, Père Magloire Calvados, Absenteroux, falernum, lime, soda) or maybe the Mountain spring (Absolut Elyx vodka, pine aquavit, sake, jasmine, cucumber, soda).

#3 Cocktail Trading Company

If you are scared of running out of conversation material on your first valentine’s day with your new partner don’t worry, the Cocktail Trading Company’s “Wonka-level cocktails” (as described by TimeOut Magazine) will help you avoid any awkward silences. Just a few minutes from Shoreditch High Street, pop in and have your date wowed. Imagine this unique cocktail, the Intercontinental Punch (Fords Gin, Pink peppercorn wine, Apricot-hibiscus sherbert), made in a mini punch bowl and garnished with a cracker.

#4 Seymour’s Parlour

Located in the new Zetter Townhouse hotel either in Marylebone or Clerkenwell, this is a reason to tear yourself away from the Netflix and chill Valentine’s Day. Go and immerse yourself in a different decade, with spectacular cocktails delicately assembled and made in their lab for your pleasure and enjoyment. Surprise yourself with the cocktail of the week or try the Fleur Du Mal if you dare (Orris and rose vodka, lemon juice, egg white & a hint of absinthe).

If you can’t make up your mind about which bar will have more of a wooing effect, all will hail you the hero of the night in your date’s eyes, as each one of them is a star in its own unique way.
