It’s almost the end of January, and we’ve kicked off the new year with lots of business plans and exciting projects. We’ll let you know in a future blog post what we’ve got planned for 2020, but in the meantime, we wanted to share some of the highlights of 2019.
2019 was a momentous year for City Relay. Highlights included opening two Reception Spaces, one in Shepherd’s Bush and one in Victoria, successfully launching a B2B property operations business, hiring a new leadership team, growing the team to over 80 employees and becoming industry-leaders for customer ratings and reviews.
As you can see from the infographic below, there were a lot of other achievements during the year. In 2019, there were almost 30,000 nights booked with guests arriving from 49 countries staying in 35 postcodes across London. We won five industry awards, including two for best short let company of the year, and we reached over 4.2 million people with advice on short lets and holiday letting their home. The hard work of the team resulted in a Trustpilot rating of 4.8 out of 5 from over 500 reviews.
Our housekeeping team made over 8,500 beds and stocked hosts’ homes with more than 15,700 cartons of One Water. We replaced our petrol-powered vehicles with electric vans and cars. And when the team weren’t hard at work they were eating cake, 57 cakes to be precise, to celebrate their teammates birthdays.
